December 2021 saw Densford Civil complete the remediation of the Shoreline Stage 4 site through meticulous excavation and validation of a vast area previously impacted by previous land use as a rail siding.
The design of the civil open space was progressively revised throughout the construction process to respond to a continually evolving scope of remediation to ensure the proposed residential sites were satisfactorily validated. The bulk earthworks operation involved chasing out over 15,000 m3 of material adjacent to a live freight rail corridor, which was appropriately capped and validated through daily environmental testing of ground conditions.
